Reliability Trial 2009 (VTTA)

VTTA (KENT GROUP) RELIABILITY TRIAL SUNDAY 1 FEBRUARY 2009

The ride for 2009 will follow the same routes and arrangements as last year’s – HQ at Bethersden Village Hall and the same routes. Both rides use the same route for the first 24 miles to Tenterden. The 33 then goes to Woodchurch and back to Bethersden while the 50 goes to Old Romney and Shadoxhurst. The time limits are 2 ¾ or 3 ¼ hours for the 33 miles and 3, 3 ½ or 4 hours for the 50 miles. Entry fee is still £2 in advance or £2.50 on the day, cheques payable to VTTA (Kent Group). Thornton's Coming Home

on Sunday 17th May.

Thornton Road Club, founded near Thornton Heath, London SE25, in 1946, will be cycling from Romney Marsh to Thornton Heath, for a picnic and photo shoot. 

The distance is about 70 miles. Some fitter and more enthusiastic members may cycle back!

Circuit of the Cotswolds 2009

Just a quick note to say that online entries open on Friday 23rd January for this year’s Circuit of the Cotswolds at www.circuitofthecotswolds.org. Yes, That's right 2009 is upon us, what a chilly start it has been.  A little message to all to take extra care with all the icy conditions we are having at the moment. The last thing anyone wants at this time of year is to be forced off the bike for several weeks due to injury. And forced onto the bike for a 10 mile spin to work off some of that Christmas Turkey were a few  Thornton road club  members to compete  in the annual  Southborough and District open 10 mile time trial at Bethersden. Here are the results.
