Thornton Member gets Hitched

Graeme Pilcher, a keen member of the Club, finally made an honest woman of his long standing partner Viv, on Valentines day, February 14th.  Many Club members attended the marriage ceremony and evening celebration at the Gand Hotel, on the Leas in Folkestone. An excellent time was had by all, the Grand was an excellent venue and all the arrangements were really well thought through (except the phone call to Graeme's phone, during the marriage ceremony) and Viv - you looked extra special. Mr & Mrs Pilcher have not been seen for a few weeks, as they escaped to Madeira for their honeymoon. Best wishes for a long and happy future together, from Thornton Road Club. Following the usual Club run on Sunday 15th February, riders joined Graeme for the morning coffee in the salubrious surroundings of the Grand Hotel. Arm chairs, music by the resident pianist and coffee from a cup and saucer made this an unusual, but very agreeable meeting place.  No doubt we'll return here again for coffee, in the future.
