Time Trial Report

Since my last report...

Don entered the VC Elan 25 on the 9th June but DNS.

A week later on the 16th June was the KCA 100, the times have already been reported by Don. A brief background on the day though. Trevor entering his first 100 in preparation for the up and coming 24 hour finished with a good time, giving himself a benchmark for the future. Russ and myself almost old hands at the 100 posted times down on PB, me well down. The course started at Sugarloaf and headed north to Ashford for a scenic tour of the south Ashford roundabouts, taking in the delights of ParkFarm Tesco's, McDonalds and a glimpse of the Tented Village, before heading down on the Marsh to Brenzett.
Then it was two increasingly windy circuits of Appledore, Rye, East Guilford, Camber and Lydd. Then back towards Ashford to finish on the Hamstreet bypass just before the hill. The event was again won by Andy Miles, VC Elan with 3.58.16, beating 17 year old Sebastian Dickson, Thanet RC by just over one minute. Only 38 finishers from a start sheet of 52, 7 DNF and 7 DNS.

John now back from his hols entered the PMR 10 on the Q10/1 on Tuesday 18th June and posted 25.10, all those Spanish miles paying dividends.

Three days later John joined by Nick at the Rye Wheelers 10 finished with 25.27, Nick finishing 10 seconds better with 25.17

The following Sunday was the VTTA 25 on the Q25/8. Three Thornton entrants, Danny and Nick who i believe were making their 25 debuts along with Brian. A tricky morning with slightly wet roads and a strong blustery wind. Both returned very good times, Nick 1.06.18 and Danny 1.08.27. Brian was a DNS maybe with no Russ to chase he decided to stay in bed.
